Students are encouraged, but not required, to purchase a graphing calculator that they will use in high school also - the TI-84 Plus Silver is the standard. It is strongly recommended that all Honors students purchase one. These are very expensive ($120) but are an investment for high school; they can be purchased as Christmas gifts mid-year.
