Hi! My name is Mrs. Laura Miscioscia, I am the mother of 5 children. Three are grown up and on their own with awesome jobs, and two still in school (Bishop Shanahan and Penn State). I have always been involved in my children’s school, my parish (St. Basils) and my community; from homeroom mom, school president, brownie leader, Odyssey of the Mind Coach, School Cafeteria manager, Teacher’s Aide, and substitute teacher. I love being around the faith and the energy of our Catholic schools.

Educational Philosophy: I believe that children learn best when they are loved and engaged. I believe in an active classroom, where students feel comfortable and understood. My classrooms are full of activity and chatter. I believe students need to be comfortable enough to try and get some things wrong, make some mistakes and then, they learn and succeed.
