Mrs. Mary Mizii

Hi! My name is Mary Mizii, and I have the pleasure of teaching the FABULOUS fifth grade here at HFS! I’ve been a part of this awesome team for 23 years.  My main claim to fame is that I taught Will Smith in 2 ^nd & 5 ^th grades at Our Lady of Lourdes in Overbrook.  My biggest achievement is my family. My husband and I have three grown children and are all members of St. Ann Parish.  I love to cook, read, teach, and go to the BEACH!

Educational Philosophy: Every child is different and has a different learning style. I think it’s important to differentiate instruction to ensure that every child has the resources to succeed.  Fifth grade is a very transitional year, not only educationally but developmentally.  My goal is to zero in on all my students to make sure they each feel heard, understood, and prepared for the future.  Jesus is the core of my classroom, and all things are possible with faith!
