Dear HFS Families, It’s hard to believe that the end of July is upon us. The summer is going quickly, and I hope you are enjoying every minute of it. “This will mean health for your flesh and vigor for your bones” (Proverbs 3:8). We have been busy in the office preparing for the upcoming school year, and we’ve been enjoying the slower pace this summer, but we are certainly looking forward to seeing you all soon. Staffing Update There are no new developments as of yet in my search for a new PreSchool teacher; however, I have had some interviews, and I have a handful more scheduled between now and next week. I am hopeful that I will be able to make an announcement soon. I am also looking for someone to fill the STEAM position. We are looking for someone to present hands-on activities incorporating Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math in a fun, creative, and engaging way, focusing on students’ critical thinking skills. If you or anyone you know might be interested in a part time position, please let me know. PreSchool/PreK Aides We are looking for some PreSchool and PreK aides for the 2021-2022 school year. It is a part time position, and we are always looking for subs. If you are interested, please email me at jdamelio@myholyfamilyschool.org. Uniform Update It was brought to my attention that the gym shorts on Squad Locker are out of stock and will not be sold any longer.There is also a lack in sizes with some of the sweatshirts. Please be advised that I have added some alternate options/styles to the store. Click here to check them out. Additionally, last year the girls were permitted to wear the maroon golf shirt rather than the white one. Please consult our Student Handbook for more information regarding the uniform. Office Hours Effective Tuesday, 8/3 the office will be open Monday through Friday 9-2 for the remainder of the summer. Attachments Earlier this week, Mrs. Martino sent out a Certificate of Individual Request for Loan of Textbooks, Instructional Materials, and Equipment asking all families, Kindergarten through 8th Grade, to sign and return it via email, mail, or drop off at the office before September 10th. I have attached it here for your convenience. I am also attaching a flyer from Flynn O’Hara. They are experiencing delays due to staffing shortages, and they are recommending that you order uniforms sooner rather than later. I hope you continue to enjoy those lazy, crazy days of summer!
