Dear HFS Families, What a busy week this has been! We held our annual Christmas Pageant on Wednesday, and it was such a reverent and beautiful event. I was so impressed with our students’ singing and narration of the Nativity. This is one of the highlights of the year for me, and each year it brings me great joy. I would especially like to thank Ms. Shannon Jarvis and Mrs. Kristin Abell for practicing with the students and providing the set design and program covers. Congratulations! I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate two of our faculty members - Mrs. Linda Gorman (3rd Grade) and Ms. Alexandra Milacki (2nd Grade). Mrs. Gorman completed her Masters Degree in Educational Leadership, and Ms. Milack earned her Master’s Degree in Program Administration. We are so proud of them both Congratulations, Mrs. Gorman and Ms. Milacki! Principal’s Spotlight This week, I would like to shine the light on 2 students at the request of their teachers. Charlie L. in 8th Grade and Anna D. in 7th Grade have both been noticed in a big way this year by their teachers. They consistently receive positive remarks on their behavior calendars, indicating that they exhibit merciful kindness, habitual respect, leadership, and that they are Christ-Centered. According to Mr. Ireland, they are “great representatives of the type of student HFS sends out into the world!” Report Cards Report cards were distributed today. Please check your child(ren)’s backpacks/folders for them. If you have any questions upon reviewing them, contact your child(ren)’s teacher(s). Staffing Update Beginning on Monday, 12/19, Mrs. Tracy Nicholas will take over as the teacher for 2A. We are looking forward to working with her, and we wish Ms. Bondi-Adams all the best in her future endeavors. HFS Swag Holy Family swag is back, but not for long! Weather Reminder Now that we’ve had our first official snow day, I’d like to remind you that all changes in the school day will be communicated to you via email, text, and phone call. If you miss a call from Holy Family School, please do not call the school back; rather, listen to the voicemail or read the text/email. You should also know that any delays, early dismissals, or closures will be based on Phoenixville School District’s decisions. If they are on a delay, dismiss early, or close, Holy Family School will do the same.
