Dear HFS Families,
Happy Friday, and what a beautiful day it is!
We’ve had an exciting week in the office, if you haven’t heard. We hit 250 students enrolled for the 2022-2023 school year! We’ve seen a drastic increase in our PreSchool and PreK. We will actually have 2 classes in PreSchool through 2nd Grade. It’s a very exciting time for us, and I am thrilled to welcome our returning families and our new families! It’s going to be a great year!
Staffing Update
We are still seeking qualified applicants for the Honors Math position as well as the Technology position. If you are interested, or if you know of anyone who might be interested, please have him/her contact me directly at jdamelio@myholyfamilyschool.
org .We are also looking for aides for our PreSchool and PreK classrooms. This is a part time position. Hours are 8-12, 12-3, or 8-3, depending upon your availability. Again, please contact me at the above email address if you’re interested.
September Lunches
The September lunch menu is due on Monday, August 15th. It is important that these are submitted on time so Mrs. Nemceff has the correct numbers to place the orders. Click for the lunch menu directions and for the lunch menu.
Back to School Tips
We have a lot of new families that we are welcoming into our HFS community, and I know that starting at a brand new school can be overwhelming. Our Home and School Board led a fantastic New Family Social last Sunday, and there were many questions about a variety of things. Our Student-Parent Handbook has been updated this summer. There have not been any major changes, but you will notice that the uniform portion of the handbook has been adjusted. I ask that you read the handbook and review the relevant parts of it with your child(ren).
I have also added a few of our release forms. These should be printed out, signed, and returned by Friday, September 16th.
The handbook will be uploaded to our website for your convenience.
Health Forms
All new PreSchool and PreK students need to have their current immunizations on file in the Nurse’s Office. Click here for more information. Please obtain the most recent copy from your pediatrician, and send it to healthroom@myholyfamilyschool.
org .Volunteering
There are a variety of volunteer opportunities at Holy Family School. We are always looking for lunch parents, recess monitors, homeroom parents, etc. In order to be even more involved in your child(ren)’s school, you will need to have your clearances completed and/or updated.
