Dear HFS Families,

I hope you all had a wonderful Easter break with your loved ones. It was a much-needed break for students and staff alike, and I hope that everyone was able to recharge and get ready for the last 8 weeks of school.

Principal’s Spotlight

This week, I would like to shine a light on Mr. Matt Cahill. Mr. Cahill has been quite busy over the last few months getting ready for Seussical, Jr, but he still managed to find the time to coordinate the Earth Day clean up for the entire school. 

Today, the students and staff covered approximately a 36-block radius around the school, including Reeves Park, picking up trash and improving the overall appearance of the Phoenixville community. “As stewards of God’s creation, we are called to make the earth a beautiful garden for the human family” (Pope Francis).Thank you, Mr. Cahill, for organizing this event again! 

Boosterthon

Our Boosterthon program is running smoothly so far, and our fun run/color run is coming up on Wednesday, 4/27. There is absolutely no financial obligation for your child to participate in this event, but we are asking all families K-8 to register their child(ren). Why, you ask? By registering your child, you bring the student body that much closer to pie-ing the principal…me. (You would think I had learned my lesson with the sundae incident, but….). 

Please be aware that students in grades 5-8 are participating in a COLOR RUN. The powder can potentially stain sneakers, so I would suggest students wear an older pair to avoid that.

Yearbook

Have you ordered your child(ren) a yearbook yet? Don’t miss out! The deadline to order is Thursday, 4/28. Click here to place your order. Email Mrs. Layman with any questions.

Spring Pictures

Spring Pictures are this Monday, 4/25. If you would like for your child(ren) to have their picture taken, send them to school dressed in their Sunday best. No order forms are necessary. Proofs will be sent home when they are available.

For those students who are not having their pictures taken, they should come to school dressed in their uniforms.

Lunch Monitors

We have 1 week of April left and May is just around the corner. We need help during lunch recess next week on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. If you have any time available to help cover recess, we would be eternally grateful. Click here if you can help us next week.

Seussical, Jr.

Tickets to the Drama Club’s production of Seussical, Jr. is next Friday, 4/29. How exciting! I am thrilled to say that tickets are SOLD OUT! Please keep the cast, stage crew, and production team in your prayers. We are all so excited to see the show next week!

Mrs. Abell does have a limited number of additional tickets. If you are interested, please contact her directly (kabell@myholyfamilyschool.org). 

Continuous Enrollment

Our Continuous Enrollment program is off to an excellent start! Many of our families have chosen this option for their families, guaranteeing their child(ren) a spot through 8th Grade AND eliminating yearly paperwork. Thank you to everyone who has signed up so far!

If you still have yet to register  for the 2022-2023 school year, it’s not too late. Click here to get started.
