Dear HFS Families,
Here we are at Friday once again! This week has been a beautiful week, and I’m beginning to see student work posted out in the hallways. I am so proud of the time and effort that our students put into their work, and I am incredibly impressed with their talents. Their talents are varied and beautiful, and “certainly [children] are a gift from the Lord, the fruit of the womb, reward” (Psalm 127:3).
I was particularly impressed with the 5th Grade today. They invited me to an Art Exhibition to showcase their background/foreground projects. I enjoyed seeing the various scenes they chose to depict, and we will post those pictures on Facebook for you all to see as well.
I would also like to share how incredible our 2nd Grade is. They prepared and presented to the school and their parents an uplifting prayer service on Thursday. The theme was the Rosary, and our 2nd Graders created a paper-chain rosary containing the school’s intentions, and it now hangs in our entryway. They were so reverent as they demonstrated how to pray the Rosary. I am so proud of them!
Teacher Spotlight
This week, I am shining the light on Mrs. Hull in PreK. Walking into Mrs. Hull’s classroom is always such a warm and welcoming experience. The children are so enamored of her, and it’s lovely to be a witness to that. Mrs. Hull prepares engaging and fun activities in which her students love to participate, but she also provides them with opportunities to be challenged. There is something so heartwarming about seeing our students learning and enjoying it!
Lunch Menus
The November lunch menu is posted on our school website. Please be sure to complete it and turn it in, along with your payment, on or before October 19th. Click here to access it.
Uniforms
As we are experiencing seasonable temperatures lately, I would like to remind you of the Holy Family Squadlocker store. Not only can you purchase your gym uniform here, you can also purchase a variety of hoodies and jackets that are all acceptable attire in the classroom. Additionally, there are HFS masks. Click here to take a look.

Reminders
I would like to remind you all that there are still travel restrictions for a number of states. If your child travels to any state that is on the quarantine list, he/she MUST quarantine at home for 14 days before returning to school. Click here for that list.
Additionally, I would like to remind you that we are doing everything we can here at HFS to keep your children and you safe. I cannot mandate you to do anything outside of school, but I would strongly advise against holding parties and/or attending events for the students where they are not social distancing or wearing masks. It is imperative that we continue to work together to keep our students, staff, and families safe and healthy
Thank you for all that you do to support HFS. I hope you take some time to enjoy the weekend with one another.
Peace and Joy,
Mrs. Jennifer D’Amelio
