Dear HFS Familes,
Please see the attached letter from the Secretary for Elementary Education, Dr. Andrew McLaughlin regarding the reopening of schools in September.
New guidance from the Chester County Health Department was released last week recommending that all schools start virtually; however, based on the guidance from the Department of Health and the metrics of Covid in Chester County, Chester County is at a Moderate level. This level allows for a Blended Learning Model or Full Remote Learning. Holy Family has offered, and will continue to offer for as long as it's possible, the option of In Person Instruction or Online Instruction. This falls into the Blended Learning Model, allowing us to proceed with our current plans to reopen.
In addition to this guidance, the Pennsylvania Department of Education has updated their guidelines on face coverings. All students and staff are now required to wear face coverings, even when social distancing can be guaranteed. There are exceptions to this mandate. Click here for more information.
