Dear HFS Families,
I don’t know about you, but 2020 is proving to be a challenging year - Covid-19, virtual learning, racial and civil unrest, power outages, etc. Despite these obstacles in our daily paths, we have persevered and will continue to do so with God’s guidance. “We are afflicted in every way, but not constrained; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed” (2 Corinthians 4:8-9).
Beginning next week, I will be meeting regularly with the Office of Catholic Education, as well as, other administrators in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia to discuss and plan the reopening of our school buildings. The Pennsylvania Department of Education has released a guide to assist in this process. As a more concrete plan is constructed, I will share that information with you.
Principal’s Spotlight
I would like to shine the spotlight on the entire HFS faculty and staff. They have worked diligently and continuously to instruct our students from a new platform. They have shown consistency and flexibility in a time when our students and families needed it the most. For that, I am eternally grateful. I am blessed to work with the best of the best.
Yearbooks
Our HFS yearbooks have arrived earlier than anticipated. Ms. Schreiner has placed students’ yearbooks with their belongings in the cafeteria. If you have already been to pick up your child’s belongings, please feel free to stop by the school cafeteria next week during pick up/drops Monday, 6/8 through Thursday, 6/11 from 9:00AM-1:00PM.
Student Belongings Pick Up/School Items Drop Off
Pick up and drop off of belongings for students will continue Monday, 6/8 through Thursday, 6/11 from 9:00AM-1:00PM. Families may come to the Holy Family School cafeteria to drop off items that belong to the school, such as textbooks/library books and iPads/Chromebooks/charging cords/etc. Families will also pick up any items that belong to the students. Tables in the cafeteria will be marked according to grade. Please click here for the Sign Up Genius to choose a date and time that is convenient for you. Please make sure to follow Covid 19 protocol and wear a mask. Staff members who are assisting in the collection and distribution of materials will be following the same guidelines.
