Dear HFS Families,
As I sit here thinking about what to write, I am once again struck by the blessing that is our community. Not only was I welcomed into the fold with open arms, but the amount of support that has been shown to me and Holy Family School is simply awesome! I am proud to be a member of this community, and I look forward to the 2020-2021 school year with all of you.
Over the last week or so, families were invited to come drop off items belonging to the school and to pick up student items that were left behind in March. There are still a number of items that are in the cafeteria belonging to students, and there are still a number of items belonging to the school that have not been returned. Please contact Mrs. Martino next week to make arrangements.
8th Grade Graduation
On Tuesday, June 9th, we held a prayer service for our 8th grade graduates in St. Joseph’s parking lot. It was a beautiful ceremony, and it was so wonderful to be together again. I enjoyed seeing our families, Father Newns, Father O’Hara, and Father Hutter. Many of our faculty were in attendance as well. It was a beautiful and memorable evening!
I would like to thank the following people as they were instrumental in many aspects of graduation, from the planning to the balloon arch to the music to the live stream of the ceremony to parking to the location to the prayer service: Mrs. Martino, Mrs. Abell, Mrs. Cunningham, Mrs. Seiverd, Mr. Cahill, Mr. Snyder, Ms. Jarvis, Ms. Saxon, Father O’Hara, and Father Newns. As Mrs. Abell always says, “It really does take a village!”

Special Intention
Please pray for the grandparent of one of our PreK students. He had a heart transplant last night, and he could use the prayers of our community.
I realize that many of you are concerned about the 2020-2021 school year and how Covid 19 will impact our return. I am asking that you put your faith and trust in us. We are working as a staff, and I am working with the Office of Catholic Education to make sure that we provide your children with the education that you have come to value here at Holy Family School. I have begun my meetings with the Office of Catholic Education, and while I can’t provide you with any concrete information yet, I am encouraged by what we discussed in both of my meetings. I will share the details with you as soon as I can.
While we didn’t get to celebrate the end of the school year all together as a community, I hope that you are excited about the upcoming summer. We have moved into the yellow phase, and I am hopeful that the green phase will follow soon. With that progression, I hope that we will see a return to some sense of normalcy. I hope that you find time to relax, enjoy one another, and have fun! “This will mean health for your flesh and vigor for your bones” (Proverbs 3:8).
Peace and Joy,
Mrs. Jennifer D’Amelio
