Dear HFS Families,

I hope you are all doing well and enjoying the summer so far. While things have obviously not returned to normal, I have to say that I am so happy to be working alongside (socially distant, of course!) Mrs. Martino and Mrs. Bahr again. I have missed my work family, as I continue to miss seeing and interacting with all of you, but I am keeping the faith because…“nothing will be impossible with God” (Luke 1:37).

Building Update

We recently had a new roof put on the main building of Holy Family School, and we will be having some of our windows repaired and/or replaced. These are excellent investments in that they will help the building to run more efficiently in the colder months.

Uniform Updates

There are a few updates regarding the uniform that I would like to share with you.

We will no longer be using Ragtee for our gym uniforms. If you have already purchased items from them or still have items that you plan on using for the 2020-2021 school year, please do so. This will be a transitional year for gym uniforms, so you may want to stop by and check out the uniform exchange in the meantime.

In addition to gym uniforms, we’ll be introducing Holy Family School swag! Once I have confirmed the details with our new provider, I will share that information with you.

Last year, students in grades 5-8 were permitted to wear Sperrys (or similar shoes) with their uniforms as an option. This year, all students will have the option of choosing Sperrys, but it may be wise for safety’s sake to stick with the more traditional shoe for our younger students.  All other uniform information can be found on our website under Current Families.  

Catholic Schools Onward

I would like to thank everyone who was able to attend the Zoom meetings on Wednesday. I felt that they were informative for everyone, and I hope you were all able to gain some reassurance from the plan that is currently in place. As suggested by a parent, it makes sense to hold another meeting in a couple of weeks to discuss any changes that might be made to the existing plan or to allow for any other questions and concerns that come up as we progress through the summer.

I will tentatively say that our next Zoom session will be the week of July 20th. I will send out the date and link in my next posting.

Registration

Don’t forget that registration for the 2020-2021 school year is open. If you have not already done so, please click here to begin the process.
