On
January 25th from
1-3pm come and enjoy an afternoon of celebrating diversity by
tasting food from other countries, watching some international
dancing, creating
cultural crafts and having
fun with other HFS families and friends. This international event will be held in Griffin Hall.
We are now in the planning stages and need families to volunteer to help. Grab a few friends and volunteer to make a special cultural dish to share with the guests. Maybe your child is part of a Greek dance group or Irish Step Dancing class that you could ask to entertain us at the event. Volunteer to help participants make a specific cultural craft. Maybe you would prefer to work on your own time and would be willing to solicit gift certificates to local cultural restaurants that we could raffle off that afternoon. Would you be willing to purchase a gift certificate to donate to the event? Whatever your talents and ethnicity, we would love to have your help in planning and implementing this new event at HFS.
Please click
here to fill out the form and return to school to the attention of
Stephanie Mominey by October 24th. Or email it to
stephaniemominey@gmail.com. We will then contact you and have a large group meeting to start the next phase of planning. (Hopefully the first week of November)
We look forward to hearing from you and welcome your input, ideas and any help you can give.
In order to make this event a real success, we need YOU. Please consider helping us create a unique and entertaining learning experience for our HFS students.
Thank you, in advance, for your help and cooperation.
Sincerely,
Theresa Cooney, Erin Gallagher, Mira Holloway and Stephanie Mominey
