KIWANIS ESSAY DUE MAY 1ST
This year, the fifth grade will be participating in the 25th Annual Kiwanis Patriotic Essay Contest. Students in fifth grade must type a 200-word (or less) essay that relates to this year's theme. Please DO NOT include the student's name on the essay. They will be judged anonymously.
This essay is an out of school assignment that is due to your student's ELA teacher on or before May 1st.
The 2017 theme is, "Everywhere in the world People like to help people, so does Kiwanis. They especially like to help children, particularly in our community! Do you like to help people? What would you do to help?"
Students who are chosen as the winners will be invited to the Kiwanis Patriotic Celebration on Friday, May 26, 2017.

We are continuing to use Spanish adjectives as often as we can, we made self portraits and labeled ourselves using adjectives that best described us, we learned how adjectives in Spanish need to sometimes change endings (masculine and feminine), a unit on Spanish occupations, family words and occupations, and we played a fun game called "Taxista" to practice the Spanish occupation words.
Reminder we are in the last trimester and students are expected to complete 4 hours of Rosetta stone.
Childrern are required to complete 4 hours
before end of third trimester
