The Home and School Association (HSA) is a recognized group of parents and teachers that work together for the benefit of Holy Family School. The success of these events are only with the strong support of parents such as yourself. What we need is a little of your time, energy and ideas to help build our strong school community.

The family events held for our students and their families are a great way to get invovled and celebrate our wonderful school community. Welcome Back! Popsicles on the Playground
Description: Catch up with old and new friends right before the new school year begins. This event is paired with the opportunity for the students to see their new classrooms and chat with their new teacher(s).
Ways to Help: - Assist with pre-event planning
- Help with set up/clean up at event
- Assist with various activities during the event
Time Commitment: - August
- 1 - 3 hours
Family Bingo Night
Description: A fun night with family and friends enjoying pizza and a few rounds of the All-American game of B-I-N-G-O.Ways to Help: - Assist with pre-event planning
- Help with set up/clean up at event
- Assist with various activities during the event

- 1 - 5 hours
Book Fair
Description: A week-long, opportunity for the students to purchase some wonderful books. We also offer one weeknight for families to shop together.
Ways to Help: - Volunteer to help children make wish lists.
- Help with the book sales.
- Set up and pack up book fair items.
- Donate a baked good or snack for a family event.
Time Commitment: - Fall

Santa Shop
Description: A beloved tradition, that gives the children the opportunity to do their own shopping for the important people in their lives.
Ways to Help: - Help with set up and take down of holiday shop
- Volunteer to help students shop

MLK Service Project
Description: We come together on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day to give back to the community. Opportunities for service are geared towards different age levels, so our entire school can be involved.
Ways to Help: - Volunteer to help students with service projects

Mother/Son EventDescription: A fun afternoon for moms to spend with their sons (and your mom friends who also have boys). Over the last few years this event has included bowling, a Reading Phillies game and a St. Joe’s basketball game. No matter what the activity, all who attend, would agree it is a great time!

Father and Daughter Dance
Description: A spring tradition that creates a memorable night for dads and their daughters. The dance is often centered around a special theme.Ways to Help: - Give an hour of time during event

End of Year Party
Description: The party takes place during the last week of school on the rectory lawn. All the students get together for games, snacks and fun in the sun. In the last few years, we added a new tradition of recognizing the eighth graders at one of their last Holy Family School events.

New Family Welcome Committee
Description: Buddy families are paired with new families to help them acclimate to our school community. In a new environment, Buddy families are friendly faces and can help answer questions for our new families.
Weekly Ice Cream Sales
Description: Home and School helps facilitate selling ice cream during each of the lunches on Wednesdays.
Description: Our chance to do a little something special for our dedicated staff. The luncheons are organized on teacher in-service days. The Teacher Luncheon Lead will coordinate the luncheon and ask for volunteers to bring in items and donate their time.
Description: Throughout the school year, this committee provides little treats for our staff. In the spring, there is a week filled with special events to thank our committed staff.
Description: The last couple of years, we participated in our Phoenixville Community parades. Whether it be the Halloween, Christmas or Dogwood Parade, Holy Family students have a great time representing our school.
Description: Why go out and buy your child(ren) new uniforms when he/she needs a new size? Come take advantage of our exchange program located in the lunchroom.
Description: An opportunity for Home and School to do minor fundraising through community building events. This is a new committee and would be responsible for organizing such events as Quizzo Night or Race for Education.

Taking an active role in your children’s school is critical to their success. We’ve compiled a list of 10 reasons why joining the HSA will greatly improve your child’s education experience.
- It’s good for your child. Research shows that children whose parents are involved in their school make better grades and have fewer disciplinary problems at school. When parents get plugged in at school, their children do better.
- It’s important to the school. Schools are becoming more and more dependent on parent groups. The parent groups are responsible for almost all of the school’s social events. They provide support to teachers and administrators, and they create a caring and supportive atmosphere in the school.
- You’ll get connected. There’s no better way to know what’s going on in the school than to be part of the HSA. You’ll be first to hear about important decisions and changes the school is thinking about making, and you will get to know teachers and administrators on a familiar basis.
- You’ll be part of a network. Every social function is an opportunity to meet other parents in the same situation as you. You will be connected with a group of parents who share a common goal of improving the school for the children.
- You’ll make a difference. By volunteering with the HSA, you’ll be able to use your skills for a noble cause. Parent groups work to establish a supportive and encouraging community for the entire school. The goal is to create the most educational environment possible for our children.
- It’s fun! You’ll connect with a group of people who are all concerned with creating a better environment for their children. You will help plan fun events, socials and get togethers that the whole family can attend.
- You’ll be a role model. You’ll show your children that not only are they important to you, but their education is as well. They’ll see you taking a stand to make education better for them and their peers, and chances are they’ll do the same
- You’ll help raise necessary funds. The HSA fundraises to provide more educational services for children. Fundraisers remain important to improving the quality of the school overall, and parent groups make them possible.
- It’s flexible. The HSA has progressed to meet the changing needs of parents. There are a variety of small ways parents can help and be involved in the HSA. Project responsibilities are flexible and can be adjusted to fit with your time constraints.
- It’s for every parent. Your voice and opinion matters! It makes a difference when you speak up. Your voice and ideas can help improve the quality of education for your children and their peers. You’ll see the smiles on their faces and know that you’ve played a part in making school a little more comfortable and fun.

Shoparoo
Shoparoo is a free app for iOS and Android phones that allows anyone and everyone to take pictures of their shopping receipts to earn cash donations for our school! All you need to do is take pictures of your grocery receipts with the Shoparoo app made for your smartphone. Simply download the free app from the Apple App Store or the Google Play and choose our school under your profile.

Remember to register each year! New registration is open! Please register your Giant card and designateHoly Family's ID# 24125.A+ School Rewards are points that supporters earn with each purchase made using their GIANT Card. At the end of each month, the points earned are used in a calculation to determine your school's cash total, which is then automatically credited to your school's account.

Box Tops can be found on hundreds of products. Clip Box Tops from each package and send the Box Tops into school. Also, sign up on BTFE Marketplace to shop at some of your favorite stores while earning eBoxTops for Holy Family School.

Holy Family collects Redner’s register tapes whose purchasers use a save-a-tape card. Please send in your tapes to the school office.

Be on the lookout for emails, flyers and notifications on the website about our restaurant spirit days. Enjoy a night out and a percentage of your bill will go to Holy Family School!
