Dear HFS Families,

Happy Friday, and what a beautiful day it is! We’ve wrapped up our first full week here at Holy Family School, and it’s safe to say that we are definitely getting into a groove. 

Principal’s Spotlight

This week, I would like to shine a light on our PreSchool/PreK aides and teachers - Mrs. Cucinotta, Mrs. Smith, Mrs. Lamperti, Mr. Davidson, Mrs. McCarthy, Mrs. Fischer, Mrs. Skinner, Mrs. Holloway, Mrs. Koukos.  Mr. Davidson and these women are a gift to our school community, especially the children. We are thankful for their time and talents and all that they have to offer. “...Your light must shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your heavenly Father” (Matthew 5:16).

Covid Policy

As we have had a handful of Covid cases pop up this week, I would like to share our policy with you. We are following the CDC Guidelines, which can be found by clicking here. 

• If your child is experiencing the following symptoms, they should remain home - fever, cough, shortness of breath, fatigue, muscle aches, to name a few.
• If your child tests positive, he/she will need to remain home for 5 days, and he/she should wear a mask for 5 days upon his/her return to school.
• If your child tests positive, please alert me (jdamelio@myholyfamilyschool.org) and the nurse Mrs. Mancini (healthroom@myholyfamilyschool.org). 
• When an exposure occurs, it is strongly recommended to wear a mask for 10 days following that exposure, but it is not required.

CARES

 I have received some requests from parents regarding homework and CARES. If your child attends CARES after school, and you would like him/her to complete those assignments, please let Mrs. Nemceff know as well as your child(ren). Time is allotted for homework, but not all of the children take advantage of this time. If Mrs. Nemceff is aware of your preferences, she will be better able to monitor that. You can email her at dnemceff@myholyfamilyschool.org.

Additionally, I would like to remind all parents that CARES ends at 6:00PM. Over the last several days, we have had a child picked up anywhere from 15-20 minutes late. Because of this, we will be instituting a charge for any late pick ups. Once an amount has been decided upon, it will be shared with our families.

If you are going to be late picking up your child, please call 484-942-5134.

Lunch Volunteers

We are still in need of lunch volunteers. If you have the time, whether it be for an hour or for all 3 lunches, we would be grateful for any help you can provide. Our first full week back in school was certainly a whirlwind, but in the best way possible! I am truly enjoying getting to know our new students and families and reconnecting with our current students. I hope you all have a lovely weekend!
