Dear HFS Families,
We are closing on yet another busy week here at HFS, and I’m sure the weekend is much needed by everyone. Terra Nova tests have been administered, and I’m so proud of how seriously the students took the tests. We still have some students who need to make up the tests, and we will continue to work on that next week.
Principal’s Spotlight
This week, I’d like to shine a light on the Cub Scout pack of Holy Family School. They held their very first Pinewood Derby, a well loved Scout tradition. The boys leveraged their newly learned woodworking skills and creativity to design and craft their race cars. The boys showed great sportsmanship throughout multiple heats and celebrated Bo R., the derby winner!

Holy Family School’s Centennial Celebration
As you already know, HFS is celebrating 100 years in Catholic education! What an accomplishment! To honor this momentous occasion, we are having an Open House at the Great American Pub in Phoenixville on Friday, March 24th. Current families and alumni are invited. This is a 21+ event, so get a babysitter and come join us for cocktails and hors d'oeuvres. Feel free to come and go as you please! Click here to reply.
Home and School Events
The International Festival is coming up this Sunday, 3/12. Please complete the attached flier to RSVP.
You will also find attached a flier for the Mother-Son event at the Delaware Blue Coats basketball game on Saturday, 3/25.
March Lunch Volunteers
We are looking for volunteers to join us for lunch duty in March. If you are interested and available, please click here to sign up.
Lenten Food Collection
Every year, Mrs. Seiverd and the 6th Grade hold a Lenten Food Drive to benefit the Norristown Food Pantry. Next week, we are asking that students bring in pasta and sauce. Week 4 is prepared foods (boxed items, stuffing, hamburger helper, etc.). Please no glass jars!
The homeroom that brings in the most will win a Dress Down Day, and the runner up will win an ice cream party.
Box Tops for Education Offer
One of our parents was kind enough to alert us to this offer through Box Tops. If you don’t have the Box Tops for Education App yet, you can direct funds to Holy Family School, just through your regular shopping. Scan your grocery receipt and start earning for your school!
One such offer is Annie’s Mac and Cheese. Buy 4 boxes and earn $4.40 for your school. These are great for our Lenten Food Drive or for the food pantry.
Due Dates
Request
While 8th Grade Graduation is still a few months away, we are beginning preparations. If any of our former graduates still have their maroon or white robes and would be willing to donate them, we would appreciate it. Please reach out to Mrs. McNerney at office@myholyfamilyschool.org.
