Dear HFS Families,

I hope you are all enjoying the first full week of summer vacation! The building is certainly quiet without the children and staff here, but we are keeping busy with all the end of year tasks that are coming due.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you for another wonderful school year. We couldn’t have done it without you, and we are so very grateful for the different ways that you share your time and talents with us.

Summer Hours

Effective Friday, July 1st, our office hours will be Tuesday through Thursday 9:00AM - 2:00PM. The office will be closed Monday, July 4th through Friday, July 8th. 

Staffing Updates

Mrs. Emily Layman has decided to remain home next year with her little one. We are currently in the process of interviewing candidates for the Technology position. Please feel free to share the job opening!

Uniforms

All uniforms - both the regular uniform and the gym uniform - can be purchased at Flynn O’Hara. Click here to begin shopping. 

We have incorporated our new logo into the gym uniforms. Each item will be silk screened with the logo. Please make sure to order your items in a timely manner as Flynn O’Hara will experience delays the later it gets in the summer. 

Since we have been using SquadLocker for the last couple of years, this will be a transitional year for gym uniforms. If you have items from SquadLocker that your child(ren) can still use, please feel free to do so for the 2022-2023 school year.

Below are the required uniform items:

• K-4 Girls
  • Drop waist jumper and/or wrap around kilt
  • Short/long sleeve Peter Pan collar blouse
  • Short/long sleeve polo shirt with embroidered logo in maroon or white
  • Dirty buc Oxford shoe or black oxford shoe
• 5-8 Girls
  • Drop waist jumper and/or wrap around kilt
  • Short sleeve/long sleeve Oxford shirt
  • V-neck sweater vest with embroidered logo
• K-4 Boys
  • Short/long sleeve polo shirt with embroidered logo in maroon or white
  • Twill pants/walking shorts
• 5-8 Boys
  • Short/long sleeve polo shirt with embroidered logo in maroon or white
  • Twill pants/walking shorts
  • Short sleeve/long sleeve Oxford shirt
  • V-neck sweater vest with embroidered logo
  • Striped tie

In the next couple of weeks, Flynn O’Hara will be adding some more optional items as well. 

Don’t forget that our Uniform Exchange is also an option. We have plenty of gently used uniforms that are free for the taking. Feel free to stop in Tuesday through Thursday 9-2.

Shoes can be purchased at Flocco’s. While they are not listed on their website yet, girls and boys in 5th through 8th Grade have the option of wearing Sperry’s - the Billfish for boys and the Bluefish for the girls.
