Principal's Post February 4, 2022

Dear HFS Families,

Today, as we wrap up Catholic Schools’ Week (with an early dismissal!), I am happy to say that it was a fun and exciting week for all. I have noticed that there were an awful lot of donations made for the PACS collection, and I’m starting to think that people really want to see me covered in ice cream. While Panther Olympics and making a sundae out of me were postponed today, they will be rescheduled for one day next week. A separate email will be sent alerting you to the date.

Principal’s Spotlight

This week, I am shining a light on the teachers who organized Catholic Schools’ Week and all of the various activities - Mr. Nick Ireland, Mrs. Lynette Smith, Mrs. Gorman, Ms. DiCastelnuovo, Ms. Lambert, Mrs. Horner, and Mrs. Layman. There were so many fun things to do, from Prayer Partner time to the Academic Challenge to learning more about vocations. This just names a few of the activities we enjoyed! It is no easy feat to plan this out, and I think everyone would agree that we had a great time, and we’re so proud to be a part of Holy Family School!

I would like to thank our Home and School for the delicious lunch they provided on Friday in appreciation of our faculty and staff. It was enjoyed by all! A special shout out to Cathy Fontana for the delivery, set up, and break down! 

Continuous Enrollment

I am happy to say that families are continuing to sign up for Continuous Enrollment. As a reminder, this is the only time you will need to do this through 8th Grade. If you haven’t completed the form yet, click here to get started.

 If you are unsure about signing up for Continuous Enrollment, please touch base with me or Mrs. McNerney. We’re happy to answer any questions you might have.

February Lunch Monitors

We are in desperate need of lunch and recess monitors over the course of this month. Our teachers have been stepping up and picking up the slack when we don’t have enough coverage, but if you find that you have some time and are on the Approved Chaperone List, please consider volunteering.
