Dear HFS Families,
This week we were alerted that some of our students reported being in the presence of someone who tested positive for Covid. While this exposure did not happen at school, I commend our parents for taking quick and decisive action in following the quarantine protocols. I urge you to continue to comply with the Chester County Department of Health recommendations, so that we can continue in-person instruction. We are all experiencing “Covid fatigue”, but now is not the time to become lax. We have, as a community, worked hard to reopen our doors, and it is vitally important that we continue the hard work to remain so. Please strongly consider any activities in which you and your family participate; wear your masks; and practice social distancing. Thank you to those of you who have been so vigilant.
With Thanksgiving approaching, please be advised that there are a number of states that are considered hot spots. If you and your family are planning to travel to any of these states, it is strongly recommended that you quarantine for 2 weeks upon your return to Pennsylvania. While I can’t mandate this, I am urging you to consider the health and safety of our school community. Click here for the list.
I had my first Executive Board meeting with our newly installed Student Council. I have to say that I am quite impressed with them. They came prepared to discuss their agenda, and they have some wonderful ideas. I am excited to be working with them, and I’m looking forward to the spirit and joy that I’m sure they will inspire. “...all things are possible with God” (Mark 10:27).
Lunch Menus
If you haven’t already, please don’t forget to submit your December lunch menus by Monday, 11/16. Additionally, we are now able to provide free lunches. Extra slices of pizza are still $1. Click here to download a copy of the December lunch menu.
Volunteers
Earlier this week, Mrs. Martino sent out a Sign-Up Genius requesting volunteers for lunch recess monitors. As you know, this year has been incredibly difficult for everyone. In order to ensure that the students are getting much-needed time outside and that the teachers are provided with a few minutes to eat and recharge, we are reaching out to you for help. If you are available, please consider volunteering for a couple of days. Remember you must be on the Approved Chaperone list to do so. Thank you in advance! Click here to choose a day/time.
