Dear HFS Families,
I can’t believe this, but it’s May! This is a time of year when everyone begins to feel a bit rejuvenated. The end of the school year is closer than ever; it’s becoming warmer and the days are longer. This year, however, is very different. Normally around this time we start to look forward to the school year ending. While many of us are looking forward to the end of the year, we are also so very aware of just how much we are missing one another. We struggle knowing that we will miss all the end of year rituals that help us to move on. Our community, not to mention the world, has had quite the curveball thrown at us, but we have been resilient. We have continued to work hard, and our students and families have continued to shine, as they always do. Perhaps too we have been given an opportunity to truly appreciate the gifts that we have in one another. “Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift” (2 Corinthians 9:15).
I would like to thank you all again for taking the time to complete our Flexible Learning/ICyber Instruction Survey. I will be reaching out to those of you who had specific questions over the course of the next week.
With regard to our new learning platform, I cannot impress upon you how important it is to make sure your child is participating in live classes, completing assignments and assessments, and checking in with his/her teacher(s) whenever necessary. I understand that this is incredibly difficult to manage, and if you are experiencing any difficulties, please let your child’s teacher(s) know. We are all here to help and support you in any way that we can.
Teacher Spotlight
This week, I’d like to shine the spotlight on the 5th and 6th grade team. Mrs. Mizii, Mrs. Carosi, Mrs. Seiverd, and Mrs. Miscioscia have really jelled since the beginning of the year, but I have been so impressed with how quickly they created a structured learning environment since we’ve moved to a cyber platform. They work together at all times to make sure that they are providing the best possible learning experience for their students, and for that, we are all so grateful to them.
Registration
Registration is open, and we cannot wait to welcome everyone back in September! If you have not already done so, please click here to begin the process. If you’d like a paper copy, please email Mrs. Martino at office@myholyfamilyschool.org.
Thank you for all that you do to continue supporting us. I hope you enjoy the weekend!
Peace and Joy,
Mrs. Jennifer D’Amelio
