Dear HFS Families,
I hope you are all enjoying the summer thus far! Things have been very quiet in the building since the end of the school year, but we are keeping busy here in the office.
Staffing Updates
I am very sad to inform you that our PreSchool teacher Mrs. Lickfeld will not be returning for the 2021-2022 school year. She and her husband have decided to move out of the area. Mrs. Lickfeld has been a part of the Holy Family community for 10 years, and she is truly loved by all who meet her. We will miss her terribly, but we wish her and her husband all the best in this exciting new chapter of their lives.
Please know that I have already begun the process of searching for a new teacher. As soon as I have hired someone, I will be sure to let you know.
As we prepare for a return to a more “normal” school year, there will be some shifting of faculty members.
Mrs. Hull will be making a change to her position. She will be moving over to the main building and taking on Kindergarten with Mrs. Rhoads.
Mrs. Lynette Smith will join our team full-time as the PreK teacher. Mrs. Smith has been such a huge help to us this year in her roles as Preschool and Kindergarten long-term substitute. We are thrilled to have her join our faculty, and we’re grateful for the time she has served as Home and School President.
Ms. Pizzico, who joined us last year, will be moving to 1st Grade and partnering with Mr. Cahill.
Mrs. Seiverd has decided to move to a part time schedule, and she will continue teaching 5th/6th Grades.
Mrs. Guzman will continue on as the 7th/8th ELA teacher, and we’re delighted that she has agreed to offer Spanish 2 days a week for both the 7th and 8th Grades.
Uniforms
It’s never too early to start thinking about uniforms. Please see the attached flyer from Flynn O’Hara for more information regarding their free shipping promo next week.
Don’t forget that our Uniform Exchange is also an option. We have plenty of gently used uniforms that are free for the taking. Feel free to stop in Tuesday through Thursday 9-2.
While I haven’t seen many of you since the school year ended, I think about all of you often, and I look forward to seeing some of you periodically over the summer. Stay cool and enjoy those lazy days!
Peace and Joy,
Mrs. Jennifer D’Amelio
