Catholic Education Coronavirus Taskforce Notice Regarding Governor’s Announcement Of April 9, 2020
Today, Governor Wolf announced that all Pennsylvania school buildings would remain closed through the remainder of the 2019-20 academic year. Archdiocesan schools have been successfully operating with flexible instruction since March 16 and will continue with this method of instruction indefinitely.
In compliance with the Governor’s order, all school buildings will remain closed for the remainder of this school year. All on-site extra-curricular and co-curricular activities including retreats, athletic events both on and off school grounds, field trips, and social events planned by elementary, secondary, and special education schools will be cancelled or, where possible, may be held in an online format instead.
In the coming weeks, we will work with school leaders to plan for the remainder of the school year for school graduations and to address other issues that will need to be addressed for the remainder of the school year.
May our Lord continue to strengthen our faith and renew our hope! We wish all our families continued health, safety and a blessed Easter.
