Happy Friday! Overall, we have had a beautiful week this week. I’ve had lots of opportunities to get outside and play with my son and take walks as a family. While my days are busy with working and parenting, I am thankful. I can’t remember the last time I have had so many opportunities to be outside during the daytime playing like a child and feeling the warmth of the sun on my face for longer than a few minutes. “From the rising of the sun to its setting, let the name of the Lord be praised” (Psalms 113:3).
Teacher Spotlight Over the course of the last 4 weeks, it has been incredibly difficult to choose just one teacher to spotlight. Everyone - teachers, students, and parents - is working so hard; sometimes, it seems that working in this format is even more difficult and more time consuming than if we were in the classroom everyday.
With that being said, I would like to shine the spotlight on Mrs. Linda Gorman. Mrs. Gorman is a new, full time faculty member this year, which makes her transition to distance learning even more impressive! She has created an organized and structured approach to online learning with her Third Grade class. She works hard at not only conveying new content to her students, but she also regularly takes the time to assist them whenever they need additional help. On top of that, she also makes sure that her students know just how much she misses them!
In last week’s Principal’s Posting, I shared a Cyber Learning/Flexible Instruction survey with you all. If you haven’t completed it yet, please try to find some time to do so today.
By doing so, you will help us to make the necessary changes to provide the best possible instruction for your child(ren). Thank you to those of you who have already completed it. We appreciate your taking the time to share your feedback with us.
Registration It has been a while since we have made any mention of registration for the 2020-2021 school year. I know that this still might be the last thing on your minds, but we are in the process of preparing for next year! Registration is open, and we cannot wait to welcome everyone back in September! If you have not already done so, please click
here to begin the process. If you’d like a paper copy, please email Mrs. Martino at office@myholyfamilyschool.org.
I would like to thank you all again for everything that you are doing to support Holy Family School. We truly are in this together. Stay safe and be healthy!
