Welcome to the Holy Family School Art Department!
In the Art Room we focus on CREATIVITY, using many different art materials for creating art...from pencils and markers, to paint and pastels, to model magic clay and plaster. Each month your child will work on smaller art pieces and/or larger projects that take many weeks to finish!
Our HFS Art students are always learning about the most famous artists in the world, and will have so much fun creating their own wonderful works of art!!

As in all special area subjects students (Grades 6-8) who receive a grade of 3 or above will maintain Honors. Students who receive a 2 or 1 will not maintain honors for the trimester.

It is important to note that Art grades are largely based on conduct during art instruction and in the art studio as well as effort in all projects given. Skill is only a small percentage of the student's grade for any project. Points will not be deducted for classes missed due to excused absences unless there is no effort made to make up missed time. I do expect projects to always be handed in on time. I make myself available to all students during lunch hours as well as before and after school hours so they may make up missed class instruction and work time.
