FACETIME THEATRE
HFS AFTER-SCHOOL PERFORMING ARTS PROGRAM
(Kindergarten-4th Grade)
Students in this program will:
•Develop effective communication skills, with an emphasis on public speaking
•Work on musical theatre pieces from Broadway and Off-Broadway shows
•Participate in acting and improvisational games and activities designed to foster creativity, teamwork, and a willingness to take risks
•Learn the basics of stage movement, blocking, and scene work
•Strengthen literacy skills (e.g. language & comprehension)
•Gain exposure to great writers (from Dr. Seuss to Shakespeare!)
•Work on vocal performance in the context of musical theatre
•Perform in an end-of-the-year Showcase
•Have LOTS of fun!
Who is teaching this program?
•Facetime Theatre instructor with years of classroom and performing arts experience
When will this program be offered?
•Mondays after school, 3:15-4:00 pm (Note: Classes start in October)
What ages are included?
•Kindergarten through 4th Grade
What is the cost of the program?
•$540 for the School Year ($475/year for 2nd child/sibling)
